Held monthly in the Library Palm Garden from December to March, the Friends of the Key West Library Book Sale is a place that brings the community together. It is amazing what gems can be found among the 3,000 donated books: a book or two, a friend or two, a good conversation, or even a book for a gift. Invasive species in the Florida Keys with Dr. Mader
Dr. Mader will discuss the changes in the Florida Keys’ fauna and flora over recent decades, highlighting the impact of invasive species. Notable invaders include the Green iguana, pythons, Lionfish, Cuban tree frogs, Haitian curly-tailed lizards, Myna Birds, and Monk parrots. Invasive plants like Australian Pine and Brazilian Pepper trees also pose significant threats. Each new species, regardless of size, harms the sensitive ecosystem of the Keys.

Key West Historic Days: Historic Tours of America Trolley Tour
Join us as we journey through the colorful streets, stopping at the iconic sights that have shaped Key West's vibrant culture and rich history. Additional tour information given by P.J. Eaton, Docent at the Hellings Curry Museum home of the Key West Woman's Club. Limit 38 people. Arrive 30 minutes early for wristband at Hellings Curry Museum, 319 Duval Street.
Key West Historic Days: WALKING TOUR OF THE CURRY HOMES
The tour includes highlights of the Curry Family. This 90 minute walking tour will begin at the Hellings Curry Museum and will meander through the streets of Old Town pausing at points of interest related to William Curry, his extended family and his business interests. Stops include six of the seven Curry Mansions, the Key West Historic Seaport, the telegraph office and warehouses. The tour concludes with an in-depth walk through the Curry Mansion with Woman's Club member PJ Eaton.
