Comedy Key West is happy to be bringing back the first show paying tribute to the funny side of the life and works of Ernest Hemingway. A few blocks down the street from the famed Hemingway House, where he lived and wrote for nine years, and around the corner from his legendary watering hole Sloppy Joe’s, comedian James Scott Patterson takes us on an hourlong tour of Hemingway’s childhood, writing career, adventuring, and, of course, drinking days. The humor ranges from the tragic-comic (it is Ernest Hemingway after all) to the witty, wild, and difficult to believe. The show is a happy hour celebration from 5:30 to 6:30 including a complimentary glass of Hemingway’s favorite wine (Valpolicella) with your ticket.

He also co-edited a new edition of Baldwin’s collaboration with French artist Yoran Cazac, Little Man, Little Man: A Story of Childhood (2018). He is the recipient of a 2023 Whiting Creative Nonfiction Grant and fellowships from the Leon Levy Center for Biography, the Scholars-in-Residence program at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, the Gilder Lehrman Center and Beinecke Library at Yale, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, as well as residencies at Yaddo and MacDowell. Most recently he was the 2024-2025 John Hope Franklin Fellow at the National Humanities Center.

The Vienna Boys Choir is one of the most famous choirs in the world, and one of the oldest. Boys have been singing at Vienna's Imperial Chapel since at least 1296. In 1498 Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I. established a Court Chapel in Vienna where he declared that there were to be boys among the singers, thus laying the foundation for the Vienna Boys Choir.

Holiday Historic Inn Tour
Join us for an enchanted evening of decorated historic inns while enjoying light sweet or savory holiday treats and holiday cheer at each property. Visit each property, explore the unique architecture and history, and delight in holiday ambiance in a tropical setting. The tours are self-guided. Free trolley transportation will be provided between properties - but participants are welcome to bike, walk or use their own transportation.
Tickets can ONLY be picked up the night of the tour at the first property on the tour after 5:30pm ONLY (*Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory on the 19th)

Holiday Lights Train Ride
Get your HO HO HO on with the Fringe, Tuesday Dec 16th, and enjoy live holiday music and a festive tour of the island’s holiday lights! Check-in begins at 7pm at the beautiful Gardens Hotel (526 Angela Street) where award-winning vocalist Claire Caplan and pianist Larry Smith will be the perfect prelude to the evening’s ride. (You might find inspiration to ‘jingle your bells’ on the dance floor at the Garden’s cash bar!) Then at 8:30pm it’s All Aboard the Holiday Train! Support Fringe Theater’s education and outreach programs by celebrating the holidays with friends! Tickets are $65.

This festive and quirky competition requires teams of 4 to 6 players to compete in 5 rounds of funny Christmas games, plus one player from each team will participate in a separate chicken wing eating contest.

Robert Albury “Key West’s King of Soul”
A homegrown Key West talent, Robert Albury, grew up on the corner of Amelia and Whitehead Streets in Bahama Village. Robert had nine brothers and they all sang. Young Robert Albury was most inspired by Louis Armstrong's performance in Key West. To Robert, the vocals of Soul music come from deep down within a special place in your heart. He says, “That’s what makes soul music so great.”
