  • San Carlos Institute 516 Duval Street Key West, FL, 33040 United States (map)

CACHAO VIVE!

We are delighted to present a special performance by the Yelsy Heredia Trio featuring a tribute to the legendary Israel López "Cachao" and the captivating sound of Cuban music.

¡Cachao Vive! will bring to life the vibrant rhythms and timeless melodies of Cuba in a remarkable program that honors the island’s rich musical heritage. Led by Yelsy Heredia, a two-time Latin Grammy Nominee, the trio also features the extraordinary talents of Pacho Chiba (piano) and Tany Allende (percussion).

Award-winning producer Joe Cardona will present a 20-minute film documentary on the history of the San Carlos Institute, a historic Key West landmark for the Cuban community.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of Cuban music, history, and culture as we commemorate the centennial of the San Carlos Institute’s majestic building, often referred to as "La Casa Cuba."
